Be engaged and plan on attending UAPA's next membership meeting on March 20, Upper Arlington Main Library, 2800 Tremont Road. The meeting will be held downstairs, and runs from 7:00- 8:30 p.m. Richard Gunther, professor emeritus of political science, OSU, will speak about the current Constitution-changing petition effort to replace the existing redistricting process with a balanced approach that emphasizes fairness, competitiveness and compactness.
Dr. Gunther is an expert on electoral systems and electoral behavior, and has published 14 books in the field of Comparative Political Science. He’s been working on reform of the Ohio redistricting process over the past seven years, and is a member of the executive committee of Voters First Ohio. If you care about fair elections in Ohio, you must attend this meeting to hear Dr. Gunther. There will be light refreshments, good conversation and committee breakout sessions.
