Celebrate UAPA's 20th Anniversary!

Twenty years ago this June, a small group of Upper Arlington women sat down and decided to express their support for John Kerry by founding UA for Kerry. They were unsure if there were many other Democrats or progressives in UA. To their surprise and delight, there were! UA for Kerry eventually was renamed Upper Arlington Progressive Action (UAPA).

Since June 2004, UAPA has continued to support progressive candidates and causes in UA. We have sold and placed yard signs in UA and beyond and used that money to support candidates. We have endorsed candidates, written postcards, circulated petitions, presented speakers and educational programs, hosted fundraisers, maintained a long-running book club, and organized debate watch parties, picnics, and other get-togethers.

Now, we'd like to invite you to join fellow progressives, Democratic officeholders, and candidates at the Amelita Mirolo Barn for a delicious luncheon and a good time! We hope to have some special guests, revisit some memories, and pump up ourselves (and UAPA's checkbook) for the 2024 campaign!
