2016 Election

Hillary Clinton Carries Upper Arlington

Although we are all disappointed with the overall results, for the first time ever, a Democrat carried Upper Arlington in a presidential election. In UA, Hillary beat Donald Trump by almost 15 points and by over 3,300 votes. She also carried over 90% of the UA precincts. Certainly, your efforts, and those of other UA Progressives, contributed to this historic local election result.

Recycle your 2016 Yard Signs

RECYCLE LAWN SIGNS

Upper Arlington Progressive Action produced 2,000 UA for Hillary and Clinton/Kaine lawn signs for this campaign. These, along with all the Clinton campaign and down ticket signs, amounts to probably a ton of recyclable metal, cardboard and plastic.

UAPA is working with the city to make sure that as many political signs as possible get recycled.

Sign Theft Watch

As many of you know from personal experience, there have been many Hillary Clinton signs stolen from people's yards this election season. At last someone witnessed one of these thefts, which has been reported to the UAPD.

Action Item - Distribute Sample Ballots During Early Vote (October 12 to November 7)

Are you still looking for something to do when you aren’t canvassing or phonebanking for Democratic candidates?  UAPA needs you to help pass out sample ballots at the Early Vote Center, 1700 Morse Road.  For the past several elections, Jody Scarbrough and Carole Depaola have coordinated a program to pass out cards listing candidates endorsed by the Franklin County Democratic Party.  Volunteers are needed to ask people on their way in to vote if they would like a Democratic sample ballot.  That is all!  However, this program requires many volunteers.

UAPA's October Month of Action

Have you been looking for some practical actions to take this election season? Have we got some opportunities for you! Volunteer to work with UAPA on some fun ways to support our local Democratic candidates!
