2007 Election Information Sources
Chamber of Commerce
Candidate Forum
One source of decent information is the Chamber of Commerce's Candidate Forum. This year the moderator asked some tough questions and got at least a few substantive answers. For the benefit of those that could not attend, the forum was captured on video and posted on the web and mirrored here.
The Chamber is a special interest group, though, and is chartered to focus on business-related issues and promote business interests. This leaves a whole host of community issues unaddressed.
UAPA transcribed the answers for two of the Chamber's questions:
- What is your vision for Kingsdale, and what is the art of the possible there?
- In your opinion what is the single most important issue facing the City and what are your recommendations for addressing this issue?
Written Statements
The Chamber also requests that candidates submit written answers to a series of questions. This year's submissions are in their October newsletter.
